Las Vegas – NASCAR is suspending driver Kurt Busch for this weekend’s Pocono 400. The suspension comes as a result of threatening comments made to “Sporting News” reporter Bob Pockrass following Saturday’s Nationwide Series race at Dover. Busch, who was already on probation for an incident with driver Ryan Newman at Darlington last month, issued a statement to apologize.
Phoenix Racing owner James Finch told ESPN.com that he will have to meet with Busch before deciding whether he will remain with the team, saying, “If he’s going to kill himself, I’m not going to be in the airplane with him. If that’s what he’s planning on doing, I am going to get out.”
