Woman Helping Dog Dies In Fatal Auto Accident

(Las Vegas, NV) — A 57 year-old woman was killed on the Boulder Highway Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the woman’s car was stopped as she was standing on the passenger side of her vehicle. She was helping another person with an injured dog that had been hit.

47-year-old Steven Llewelyn was traveling northbound in the center lane and tried to avoid the woman but was unsuccessful.

The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

This is the 58th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction.
