LAS VEGAS (AP) — Clark County District police have arrested a 43-year-old varsity high school softball coach amid accusations he had a sexual relationship with one of the students on his team.
Albert S. Hernandez was arrested off-campus on Thursday. He’s being held in the Clark County jail on suspicion of two counts of sexual misconduct with a student, three counts of producing child pornography, and one count of distributing child pornography.
District police say Hernandez is a coach at Silverado High School in Las Vegas, and he’s also known for his work as a coach on a youth softball team.
He’s set to appear in court Friday morning.
The arrest comes less than a week after another Las Vegas-area youth coach was arrested for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy on his soccer team.
