(Las Vegas, NV)  –  There will soon be fewer employees at Sunrise Hospital.

A spokesman for the medical center on Maryland Parkway says 144 positions will be eliminated.  Employees will be offered a voluntary severance package, before the hospital decides how many pink slips will go out.

Sunrise officials say fewer patients used the hospital last year, while a growing number are unable to pay their bills.
