(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Bus riders will soon be paying more, but the increase won’t be as bad as first thought.  The “Review-Journal” says thanks to higher sales tax revenues, the Regional Transportation Commission won’t raise fares as much as it had planned to.

While a full-fare ride will still cost $2.00, increases are planned for multi-day passes.  Paratransit users will also be spared, thanks to federal money that will offset some of the state’s budget cuts.

Most of the changes take effect September 30th.
