LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a Nevada state prison inmate is back in custody and another remains at large two days after they escaped from a forest work crew.

State prison spokesman Steve Suwe says Las Vegas police arrested 29-year-old Jonathan Jackson on Friday. Jackson was serving up to 60 months for conspiracy to commit a violent crime and a concurrent sentence of up to 96 months for car theft.

Before his capture, he and 32-year-old Spike Brown were last seen near the area of U.S. 95 approaching Interstate 15 in Clark County on Wednesday.

The Las Vegas Sun reported Friday evening that authorities’ search for Brown continued.

He was serving up to 10 years for possession of stolen property and a consecutive sentence of up to 72 months for being an ex-felon in possession of firearm.
