(Washington, DC) – The recession is becoming a memory for the nation’s casino industry. The American Gaming Association’s annual “State of the States” survey found casinos in nearly two-dozen states collected nearly $36-billion in gross revenues during 2011. Nevada casinos alone enjoyed a nearly 3% increase in casino wins, to just over $10-billion. Las Vegas remains the nation’s top casino city, with revenues of more than $6-billion last year.
