(Las Vegas, NV)  —  With the economy showing signs of improvement, the Las Vegas Convention Center is slated to get a renovation.  The “Sun” says plans call for updating the main facility and the surrounding neighborhood.

Officials plan to get feedback from trade shows that use the off-Strip building.  The convention center was to have been overhauled in 2005, but those plans were scrapped three years later when the recession hit.  The center has not been renovated in over a decade.
