(Las Vegas) – You may not mark this date on your calendar, but May 1st is the beginning of Ozone Season in southern Nevada. It’s an annual event marked by Clark County’s Air Quality Department, noting that late Spring through the Summer here means oppressive heat that can trap bad ozone during the afternoon hours along with other factors like bright sunlight and car pollution. Unhealthy doses of ground-level ozone can make it hard on your lungs and worsen pre-existing respiratory illnesses such as asthma or bronchitis. Learn more here
