(Las Vegas, NV) – A one-month-old baby is safe after being tossed from a burning apartment near downtown Las Vegas. City fire officials say it happened Monday afternoon near Eastern and Stewart. The fire started in a second-floor unit’s storage room, and an eleven-year-old girl grabbed her one-year-old brother and escaped. A neighbor caught the newborn boy when his parents tossed him out the window. The girl and her one-year-old brother were treated for burns, and their mother suffered a sprained ankle. Damage is estimated at $50,000. A cause remains under investigation.
