First ‘Metro McDonald’s’ Opens On Vegas Strip
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Golden Arches are trying for some Sin City glamor with the first-ever Metro McDonald’s, located on the Las Vegas Strip.
The fast food restaurant is transforming into a nightclub with celebrity servers and showgirls for a late-night grand opening bash May 4, although it’s already open for business.
The two-story, 24-hour Metro McDonald’s is located across the street from the City Center development and The Cosmopolitan resort on Las Vegas Boulevard. Company representatives say it features sleek furniture, digital menu boards, wireless Internet access and graffiti-like murals.
McDonald’s official Josephine Wee says the restaurant complements the landscape and character of Las Vegas and creates a unique experience for diners. It’s the first and only of the company’s restaurants that’s using the “Metro” moniker.
