LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say they’ll be looking out for drunken or drugged drivers at a DUI checkpoint in northwest Las Vegas.

They’ll be at the checkpoint from 7 tonight to 3 a.m. tomorrow on Lake Mead Boulevard east of Buffalo Drive.

Police are staging the checkpoint in the northwest because they’ve counted 175 drug or alcohol-related violations in the past 90 days.
