(Las Vegas, NV) — In recognition of Earth Day, you can learn how to “go green”…. Or just get a bit greener than you are.
If going green sounds intimidating, it shouldn’t says Beth Gillete, whose one of the founders of Saturday’s Greenfest event at Town square. Gillete says it’s OK to jump into a green lifestyle at any level you find appealing.
“We are seeing a lot of attention and momentum and people learning about how to make your home more energy efficient, which really is a really practical place to start.”
You can also see a fashion show featuring clothing from recycled materials… get your documents shredded… Or maybe just listen to music and spend a day under sunny skies…. There’s a farmer’s market, activities for the kids, and three entertainment stages too.
Beth also told KXNT that Saturday’s event will be a chance to absorb green culture, and if you’ve been feeling like you’re behind the curve, you can catch up without embarrassment.
“We like to say there are many shades of green.”
Saturday’s event runs from 10a-4p and is free. You can check out the details at http://www.naturalawakeningslv.com/VEGA/Community/GreenFest-2012/
