(Las Vegas, NV) — A state agency has upheld the current allocation system for extra cabs on Las Vegas streets.
The Transportation Authority yesterday rejected appeals by two unions, who claimed the state Taxicab Authority was wrong to approve six additional cabs for the city’s taxi operators.
Drivers pleaded in vain with the three-member transportation authority to toss out the decision, which they say will hurt their ability to make a living.
