(Las Vegas, NV)  –  Funeral services have been set for a former performer on the Las Vegas Strip.  Fifty-nine year-old Michaelina Bellamy died of leukemia on April 7th.

She performed in the “Folies Bergere” show at the Tropicana, and was a backup singer for Engelbert Humperdinck.  Bellamy was the victim of an assault in 2007 by Rev. George Chaanine at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church where she was employeed.  Local entertainers held a benefit for Bellamy last October, when medical bills for her cancer treatment were mounting.  Funeral services will be held April 24th at 10 am at Guardian Angel Cathedral.
