Will two extra days be the difference for you to get your taxes in order?
April 17th is the tax deadline this year and there are always things that are forgotten according to Professional Tax Service Enrolled Agent Robert Stovall. “They really have two options. They can file with the information they have and amend it later when they get the missing information. Or, they could file an extension and file once they get it all the information.”
Also, because of the housing crisis, Stovall believes many people need to sit down with a professional to be sure things sre in order.
“Particularly down here (Southern Nevada) we have so many issues like foreclosure and cancellation of debt issues as a recult of the real estate crisis. You don’t want to walk through yourself and hope that the software points you in the right direction.”
