It was a deadly weekend on Southern Nevada roads. A mother of eight was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in the northeast valley.  According to police, the 63-year-old woman was walking home with her son Friday night, when a car jumped the curb and struck her near Owens and Mojave.  The victim later died at University Medical Center.  There’s no word on whether the 23-year-old driver will face charges.

Metro Police say an unidentified 17-year-old was in a car that lost control on Centennial Center Boulevard near Azure Drive early Saturday morning.  The car hit a palm tree in the median.  The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.  The 18-year-old driver was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Two people were killed yesterday morning in Summerlin at Town Center Drive and Flamingo.  Police say a Subaru ran a stop sign and hit a Hyundai Sonata at the intersection.  A 67-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman inside the Hyundai died at the scene.  The 23-year-old driver of the Subaru suffered minor injuries.  The accident remains under investigation.

And in Laughlin, a pair of accidents claimed two lives. Police say a 19-year-old man died early yesterday morning, when his SUV rolled over.  A passenger inside the SUV was not hurt.  Meanwhile, a 62-year-old Huntington Beach, California man was killed Saturday night, while jaywalking across Casino near Bruce Woodbury drives.  Police say the victim was hit by a pickup and died at the scene.
