(Las Vegas, NV) — Clark County school police officers won’t get a raise for at least another year. The school board has approved a new contract with the officers’ union to freeze salaries. The contract was ratified by members last month. Most school district workers have agreed to pay concessions, with the exception of about 18,000 teachers. Superintendent Dwight Jones wants teachers to forgo a pay raise to help balance the budget and avoid layoffs.
