Reno Woman Arrested After Hit-Run Of A Person In A Wheelchair
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police have arrested a driver they believe hit a person in a wheelchair before leaving the scene of the crash.
Authorities say the person was struck about 10 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of 5th Street and Center Street. The victim was taken to the Renown Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police say their investigation led them to arrest 41-year-old Sharlene Depolo on suspicion of felony hit and run. Her 2011 Volkwagen Jetta has been taken as evidence.
Officials say they don’t believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
