(Las Vegas, NV) – A man had barricaded himself for more than three hours in an apartment unit in the 3000 block of Sandhill, just east of Boulder Station, before he was finally taken into police custody.
The suspect, who is wanted on attempted murder charges, rammed a patrol car earlier in the week as police were trying to detain him. Metro Police spokesman Bill Cassell confirms the man has a lengthy criminal record.
The apartment complex had been evacuated and portions of Boulder Highway had been closed off while S.W.A.T. and crisis negotiators tried to get the suspect to surrender.
