Cellular Phone Use Behind The Wheel Continues In Las Vegas
(Las Vegas, NV) — Some drivers are ignoring Nevada’s new law that bans chatting and texting behind the wheel.
The “Sun” reports since the law went into effect January 1st, Las Vegas police have ticketed about 23-hundred drivers for cell phone use.
In Henderson, nearly 800 drivers have been cited from January to March. Police say some drivers are trying to avoid a ticket by holding their hand-held phones under the dashboard, a practice they say is extremely dangerous.
