(Las Vegas, NV) – At least 40 students a year will be able to attend UNLV under a new scholarship program. University President Neal Smatresk predicts the endowment from the late Phillp Cohen will eventually become one of the largest scholarships in the country. The money will go to students who are not poor enough or have the grades to qualify for other programs. Cohen made his fortune in Las Vegas casinos and real estate. He died in 2010.
