(Las Vegas, NV) – A man who was killed in the backyard of a Summerlin home has been identified.  Metro Police says 19-year-old Demarcus Carter was shot a number of times Tuesday morning behind the home near Sahara and Town Center Drive.  Police say Carter was not armed, but they believe he was trying to break into the home.  The home’s occupant has not been identified or charged.  The case will go to the district attorney’s office for review.

Get real. He was in someone’s backyard in the middle of the night breaking into a home. Don’t compare this to what happened in FL.

This brief story leave a lot of questions, don’t you think.

hey how did the LVMPD get that photo of him alive. They mess up again. They be covering -up, conspireracy to get the black man, I want an envestagation. Now !

      1. Carms says:

Maybe his family gave it to the police? Or maybe he’s been arrested before and was back on the streets to do his evil deeds again – Who the heck cares if the photo is him alive her dead – He was shot while breaking and entering – that’s protecting yourself – and your home.

      2. Cate says:

Because he was just let out of jail 3 days earlier. Maybe if the black man wasn’t breaking into someone’s house, he wouldn’t get shot !!

It would be interesting to know the facts of the case, such as whether or not the police were called prior to the shooting and was the homeowner safe inside his home or in imminent danger at that time. There is no clear evidence that the young man was actually attempting to break in. You are right that this shouldn’t be about race but unfortunately it comes into play because people tend to judge other people by existing stereotypes. wouldn’t it be great if if we could trust the criminal justice system to seek the truth without bias? Why do you think the Department of Justice has contracted a company to investigate the suspect shootings/ use of deadly physical force by our law enforcement agencies? Sin City is all about color, it does not value human life unless it has the color GREEN. Do not expect D.A. Wolfson to weigh in justly on this one, he lives in Summerlin and is shaping up to be a puppet of gaming. We need spiritual uplifting.
