LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a 42-year-old acquaintance is accused of killing and robbing a Las Vegas man whose decomposing body was found in his fire-damaged condominium east of downtown.

Records show Patrick Edward Wilcock was being held Tuesday at the Clark County jail pending a court appearance on robbery and murder charges in the shooting death of James Lacella.

Lacella’s body was found Feb. 25 after a fire in his condo near Tropicana and Eastern avenues.

A police report says it appears he was shot in the head.

Police say that four days before the fire, Wilcock pawned several items that were stolen from Lacella’s home, including a Sony Playstation 3, accessories and games.

Detectives also reported finding keys to Lacella’s Ford pickup truck in a trash can at Wilcock’s home.
