The Rebel’s Get Knocked Out Of The MW Tournament

Las Vegas – The Rebel’s fought hard in a back and fourth game with New Mexico in the semi finals of the Mountain West Tournament but fell short, losing 72-67. New Mexico shot the lights out going 52 percent from the field, thanks in large part to Lobo’s forward Drew Gordon who shot 8-10 from the floor for 19 points to lead all New Mexico scorers. The Rebel’s had a rough day shooting going just 21-59 from the floor and were out rebounded 41-25. Anthony Marshall led the Rebels in scoring with 19 points, Oscar Bellfield finished with 13. The Rebel’s now look forward to Selection Sunday, New Mexico moves on to the Mountain West Finals on Saturday against San Diego State who beat CSU 79-69 in the other semi final.
