Pedestrian safety is an important topic that continues to gather attention in the Las Vegas valley. In 2011, the month of March had the most pedestrian crashes involving children.UNLV’s Safe Community Partnership put together an art contest with the winning submission to be placed on a new bus shelter. Arbor View Senior Logan Honea won the contest with a submission titled,”Pedestrians-Not equipped with airbags” Honea plans to major in business and may also go into marketing when she attends college.
