NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Police in Nevada say a 44-year-old man posed as a Mexico doctor, therapist and natural supplement distributor to sexually assault women ages 51 and 27 and a boy aged 5.
North Las Vegas police Sgt. Tim Bedwell said Thursday that investigators are checking places where Juan Alberto Ruan-Rivera spent time since 2006, including Anchorage, Alaska; the California communities of Blythe, Victorville and Chula Vista; and in Texas.
Police recently lodged new charges against Ruan-Rivera, including sex assault and sex assault with a victim under 14.
He was arrested earlier this month and is being held at the North Las Vegas jail on $173,000 bail.
Police allege he sedated victims under the guise of treatment before assaulting them in his North Las Vegas home.
