(Las Vegas,NV)  —  The man accused of killing his girlfriend’s two-year-old son told detectives he wanted the death penalty before his arrest.  According to a police report, 35-year-old Cory Simmons initially claimed Orlando Morris choked to death while drinking milk at his girlfriend’s home last Thursday.  Police say Simmons then changed his story, telling detectives he put his right hand on the boy’s throat for “two to three minutes” to keep him quiet.  Simmons had been convicted of sex abuse in Illinois.  He’s scheduled to make his first court appearance today.
