(Las Vegas,NV) — The troubled Hooters Hotel will soon have a new owner. Los Angeles-based Canyon Capital Realty Advisors will buy the resort and casino near the Vegas Strip for 60-million dollars. The deal is expected to close next month. Officials say the property will continue to operate as usual. The former San Remo hotel reopened as Hooters in 2006, and filed for bankruptcy protection last year. Canyon Capital is a partner with Vegas resident and former tennis star Andre Agassi, in a deal to build charter schools across the country.
