Las Vegas – The Rebels had lost six in a row and nine of their last ten to the Aztecs going into Saturday’s game but they were able to hold on for the 65-63 win at the Thomas and Mack, in front of a sold out crowd. Sophomore forward Mike Moser led the way for the Rebels with 19 points and 9 rebounds, Senior guard Oscar Bellfield chipped in with 15 points and 6 assists. The Aztecs were led by guard Chase Tapley with 22 points and 3 rebounds. With the win the Rebels move to 22-4 on the season and 6-2 in conference, tying them for first with San Diego State for the number one in the Mountain West. The Rebels are back on the road to face TCU on Tuesday and in the Pitt at New Mexico on Saturday.
