(Las Vegas) Six residents in NE Las Vegas are lucky to be alive today after an early morning fire. Two dogs began barking at 3704 Thom Blvd near Cheyenne and Rancho around 6:30am. Residents awoke to smoke in the house as well in the area of a mobile home near the residence. Firefighters arrived on scene and were able to put out the fire in about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the two dogs whose barking woke up the residents did not survive. All six residents were checked out and deemed healthy by officials. No cause is known at this time.
