Spirit Airlines is opening its new crew and maintenance base at McCarrran International Airport today. The new base will be home to over 200 employees, including pilots, flight attendants and mechanics. In addition, Spirit is also starting twice daily non-stop service between Las Vegas and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport on February 9, 2012. The low-fare, eco-friendly airline has 175 daily flights across the country and offers a range of optional services, allowing the customers to choose only the extras they want.
