Pharmacy Cuts Controlled Substance Deal
(Las Vegas, NV) While not admitting to any wrongdoing, Lam’s Pharmacy at Charleston and Rancho in Las Vegas is giving up its business and paying the US Attorney’s office $1,000,000 following an investigation into how they handled controlled substances. Nevada US Attorney Daniel Bogden calls it the biggest civil settlement of its kind involving a “Mom and Pop” Pharmacy that’s not part of a big chain or other institution. The investigation of Lam’s apparently started almost six years ago. Bogden says the pharmacy may stay open there, but only with a new name and new owners.
