CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Gov. Brian Sandoval says he won’t back any of the Republican candidates for president when he attends the Feb. 4 GOP caucus in Reno.

Sandoval told the Las Vegas Sun that he’ll wait until the national GOP convention makes the choice official before he backs a candidate.

The first-term Republican governor came out early with an endorsement for Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who has dropped out of the race.

Sandoval says he thinks any of the remaining candidates would “make a great president,” and the bitter campaign between the GOP candidates is “part of the process.”
