(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Energy is the issue of President Obama’s speech in Las Vegas today.  Obama will visit a UPS transport hub near McCarran Airport.  The facility received more than five-million dollars from the president’s stimulus bill to purchase nearly 60 natural-gas-powered 18-wheelers.  The trucks need only a five-percent diesel fuel mix for ignition.  Obama is also expected to open a liquefied natural gas station near the UPS facility.  He outlined his alternative energy goals in Tuesday’s State of the Union address.

The President is expected to depart McCarran International Airport shortly before noon.
