(Las Vegas, NV)  —  A downtown Vegas lot once used by the homeless has been cleared out. Metro Police, along with outreach workers and city crews, made their way to the area on Owens and Las Vegas Boulevard early yesterday morning. Those still living on the lot were steered to agencies that could help them. A count of downtown Vegas’ homeless population shows the number of people living on the streets has more than tripled since 2009.
