(Las Vegas, NV) — The Las Vegas Hilton will soon become a fond memory. The signs outside the off-Strip resort now read Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, or LVH. As of tomorrow, the property will no longer be part of the Hilton chain. But new owners Colony Capital promise on their website “same fame, new name.” It first opened as the International Hotel in 1969 before Hilton purchased it two years later. Over the years, the resort played host to Liberace, Elvis Presley and Star Trek: The Experience.
