LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada’s average gas price is $3.40 per gallon after a month where prices made double-digit dips in all but one region.
AAA said Tuesday that its latest number is up 34 cents from the same time last year, when Nevadans were paying an average of $3.06 per gallon. The December number is 21 cents down from November.
Carson City and North Las Vegas tied for the state’s cheapest gas with an average price of $3.36 per gallon. Reno gas averages $3.45 per gallon, and Sparks has the state’s most expensive gas with an average price of $3.48 per gallon.
Nevada numbers still exceed the national average price of $3.27 per gallon.
Nevada has the 9th highest average price in the lower 48 states.
California has the highest, at $3.59.
