(Las Vegas, NV)  —  After rejecting plans to raise state college tuitions by five- and 13%, the Board of Regents approved a plan to hike student fees by eight-percent in the fall of 2012.  College leaders say the extra money would be used for improving student services and financial aid.  State budget cuts have forced tuition hikes over the past few years at Nevada’s universities and colleges.
