NV Child Apparently Drowns In Mobile Home
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Police say a 1-year-old boy has apparently drowned inside a North Las Vegas mobile home.
Police spokesman Timothy Bedwell told the Las Vegas Sun that family members allegedly found the boy partially submerged in a container of liquid Sunday morning at the Aloha Las Vegas Mobile Home Park.
The boy was taken to University Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
Police are investigating the death as a possible drowning, pending autopsy results from the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Bedwell says the boy’s 30-year-old father and five siblings were home at the time, but the mother was at work.
Officers deemed the home’s living conditions unfit and notified Child Protective Services, which is working to relocate the other children.
The children range in age from 5 to 17.
