Extension For Protesters Under Fire

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Some lawmakers are questioning why Clark County granted a three-month extension for Occupy Las Vegas to keep its camp near UNLV through February 20th. Commissioner Steve Sisolak tells the “Review-Journal” he’s not happy with last week’s protest in downtown Vegas, where 21 protesters were arrested. Fellow Commissioner Larry Brown says the event came at “a cost” to “public safety and resources.” Both want to discuss the permit issue at a future commission meeting.
