(Henderson, NV)  —  An attorney who recently pleaded guilty in a federal investigation of local homeowners associations has been beaten.  Henderson police say 57-year-old David Amesbury was assaulted and left on the road near Eastern and Sunridge Heights Parkway.  He was taken to an area hospital, but authorities say his injuries were not life-threatening.  A motive has not yet been determined.  Last month, Amesbury admitted to rigging HOA board elections and steering construction defect business to lawyers and contractors.
