Reid Son Finalist For Henderson City Attorney
HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Josh Reid, one of Sen. Harry Reid’s five sons, has been selected as a finalist to become Henderson’s next city attorney.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Reid and interim City Attorney Christine Guerci-Nyhus are in the running to assume the $190,000-a-year position.
More than 40 people applied before the candidate list was reduced to seven a couple of weeks ago. Reid and Guerci-Nyhus were announced as finalists Friday after the City Council conducted two days of interviews with the semifinalists.
The two are vying to replace Elizabeth Quillen, who was fired after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge in August following a May arrest.
The City Council is expected to select the city attorney in the next couple of weeks.
