(Las Vegas, NV) — The state Public Utilities Commission is launching an investigation into the “smart meters” now being installed in thousands of Las Vegas homes. Commissioner Rebecca Wagner tells the “Sun” she wants to look into complaints about the meters’ possible health hazards and whether NV Energy customers should be able to reject the devices. One critic claims the electronic meters emit radiation and can harm disabled people.
