(Victorville, CA)  –  The proposed high-speed train between Las Vegas and Victorville, California has cleared another hurdle. The “Daily Press” says the Federal Surface Transportation Board has given permission for DesertXpress officials to build and operate the 190-mile train line. Private developers are now awaiting word on a nearly five-billion dollar federal loan. A decision could come sometime next year.
