(Las Vegas, NV) — NV Energy customers are angry over a proposed rate hike. More than two dozen spoke their minds yesterday before the state Public Utilities Commission. The utility wants to raise electric rates by
more than 11%, saying the money is needed in part to improve its return for investors. But rate payers say an increase is wrong while the economy is struggling. The PUC is expected to rule on the increase in December. If approved, it will take effect January 1st.
