(Carson City, NV)  —  A high-speed rail line between Las Vegas and Victorville, California is closer to construction.  DesertXpress chief Andrew Mack told state transportation officials yesterday the privately-owned company is optimistic about getting a federal loan to help build the six-billion-dollar project.  A
decision is expected sometime next year, and if approved, construction could begin soon after.  The 185-mile rail line would take passengers between the two cities in just 80 minutes.

Brilliant ! I can’t wait to see all that Victorville has to offer !!! I am sure Victorvillians will be eager to visit here too. I hope that the poulation of Victorville can support such a large federal loan though – I know how the government hates to waste money.
