(Carson City, NV) — A high-speed rail line between Las Vegas and Victorville, California is closer to construction. DesertXpress chief Andrew Mack told state transportation officials yesterday the privately-owned company is optimistic about getting a federal loan to help build the six-billion-dollar project. A
decision is expected sometime next year, and if approved, construction could begin soon after. The 185-mile rail line would take passengers between the two cities in just 80 minutes.
