A Quarterback Change for the Rebels.
Las Vegas – It’s been a rough start for the Rebels this season posting a 1 and 4 record on the year and recently suffering two big back to back losses, including a 41-16 loss to Southern Utah at home two weeks ago and getting shutout by Reno on Saturday 37-0. The Rebels recent performance has prompted Head Coach Bobby Hauck to make a change at quarterback, benching Sophomore Caleb Herring in favor of junior transfer Sean Reilly who will start this Saturday in Wyoming. Reilly has seen action in two games this fall, completing his one pass attempt for a yard vs. Hawai’i and then hitting five of six throws for 48 yards in relief of Herring vs. Southern Utah one week later. He did not play last week vs.
Reilly spent the 2010 season starting for Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA. He passed for 2,245 yards and 26 touchdowns with six interceptions while leading the Gauchos to an 8-3 record. He spent his freshman season at Orange Coast College.
