Fire Forces Rio Evacuation

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  A mattress fire on the 38th floor of the Rio hotel caused a brief evacuation.  Officials say the 36th through 39th floors were cleared out after the fire broke out around 3:30 yesterday afternoon.
The sprinkler system at the resort off the Vegas Strip quickly put out the blaze.  Two hotel employees were
treated for smoke inhalation.  Damage estimates are not yet available.
