(Las Vegas, NV) – A criminal case involving medical marijuana will go forward. District Judge Douglas Smith has denied a motion to dismiss the case against more than a dozen people charged with distributing pot for medical needs. But he also noted that state law does not provide a way for patients with a doctor’s OK to get marijuana legally. Prosecutors claim the defendants operated dispensaries that accepted donations for pot, which is against the law.
